C1 is the visa for a stay that outgrows a holiday. Sixty days from arrival instead of thirty, one extension of another sixty, and it is filed online before you board rather than bought at the airport. It is the usual answer for a season on the island.

- Twice the time and a different filing route. B1 is bought on arrival for 30 days and extends once to 60; C1 is applied for online before the flight, starts at 60 days and extends once to 120.
- Can I leave the country and come back on the same C1?
- No — it is a single-entry visa. The moment you fly out it is spent, whatever the remaining days say. If your plans involve trips in and out, the D1 multi-entry visa is the one that fits.
- Can I work remotely for my employer abroad on a C1?
