Questions people ask
- Is C2 a work visa?
- No, and the distinction matters. C2 covers business you conduct on behalf of a company abroad — meeting, inspecting, negotiating. Taking a job with an Indonesian employer needs a sponsored work permit, which is a different application entirely.
- Can I sign contracts on a C2?
- Attending negotiations and signing on behalf of your foreign company is exactly what it is for. What it does not cover is running the commercial operation from inside the country.
- What if I want to come back several times a year?
- Then D2 is the better instrument — the multi-entry version of the same business visa, valid one to five years, with a fresh 60 days on every arrival.
