What it covers

Questions people ask
- How is D2 different from C2?
- The activities are the same; the geometry is not. C2 is single entry and ends when you fly out. D2 stays valid for years and hands you a fresh 60 days on every arrival.
- Can I run my Indonesian company on a D2?
- No. Overseeing a project on behalf of a foreign company is business travel; drawing income from an Indonesian entity is employment or investment, and each has its own permit, separate from any visit visa.
- Does the validity period mean I can stay that whole time?
- No — this is the most common misreading. A two-year D2 lets you enter for two years. Each stay remains 60 days, or 180 with both extensions.
